I agree to these terms and conditions
Lessons are provided in my home near Sea World. My current rate is $35 per 30 minute lesson or $60 per 60 minute lesson, once a week.
Tuition is due in full by the 1st of each month. All payments received after the 10th of each month will be assessed a $10 late fee. Payment must be made prior to the first lesson. Payment can be made via cash, Zelle, or cashapp.
Payment is for the privilege of securing your scheduled lesson time. Any cancellation of a scheduled lesson or appointment requires at least a 24-hour notice either in person, by phone, or by text. If the student fails to provide this notice, I reserve the right to retain the payment for that lesson as a cancellation fee, and a makeup lesson will not be given. If you cannot make a scheduled lesson due to vacation, sickness, or emergency the opportunity to schedule a makeup session within 30 days will be available.
Children: A responsible adult must be present and willing to participate in the student's awareness, safety, and success. Lessons are provided for children eight years of age of older.
Students are expected to arrive on time and have their lesson book at each lesson.
If you are running late for any reason, please call or text me as soon as possible. Your lesson time will not be extended because you are late, and you will still be charged the full amount for that lesson.
If I am running late for any reason, I will notify you as soon as possible and make up the full lesson time to you.
Practice Expectations
Expectations for at-home practice durations scale according to weekly lesson durations.
-Students taking 30-minute lessons should practice 30 minutes/day, 4-5 days/week.
-Students taking 60-minute lessons should practice 60 minutes/day, 5-6 days/week.
These expectations will help the student be as prepared as possible for each individual lesson as progress is made more quickly by those students who maintain the recommended practicing time. This also helps with each student’s physical and mental stamina, which will make each lesson more productive, thereby increasing the value of each lesson.
Practice sessions should be no longer than 30 minutes in length for younger students. Older students should use breaks during longer practice sessions, usually taking 5 minutes of rest after every 30 minutes of practice. Fatigue and injuries due to overuse can eventually become a concern if the student does not utilize sufficient practice breaks.
Parent Expectations
Once each lesson is completed it is up the student to do his or her own practicing. Parents are encouraged to be involved in their child's practice, as all children/students need help with discipline. It is important to remind and encourage your children to practice, and supervision of practice is encouraged until a routine is begun. Students and parents both need to be accountable for consistent, quality practice.
Quality practicing is without distractions. Practice time should take place in a quiet, well lit, and comfortable area. Practice time should be interruption-free (i.e. no phone calls/texting, no TV, no computer, etc.).
All lessons are recorded on my security system to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
